The body of a 27-year-old male was pulled out of the Lachine Canal Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency crews spent several hours searching the canal after getting a report of a body floating in the water.
Firefighters and police began looking in the water and weeds near de la Commune and Brennan Sts. around 2 p.m.
They say it was the body of a man who had been reported missing on Aug. 22.
There was no criminal element involved.
