A new terrasse is serving up nutritious and affordable meals in Point-Saint-Charles.

It’s part of a project to expand the Community Café, which is run by local non-profit Share the Warmth.

“Through the summer we were able to develop this terrasse so that the café now extends outside and people can come and enjoy a really healthy meal, an inexpensive meal and spend time with friends,” said Share the Warmth Executive Director Fiona Crossling.

Affordable meals, all of them under $4, are available six days a week at the café. The café’s workers are mostly on job training programs and students from McGill’s nutrition program created a database of healthy menus.

Lunch is served on the terrasse Monday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
