Montreal's municipal court has withdrawn 300 parking tickets it issued to drivers who parked in Rosemont and Villeray on Nov. 16.

The cars were parked next to a bike path on Boyer St. and on De La Roche St. that is supposed to be kept clear during the warmer months, but only until Nov.15.

After that date drivers are supposed to park next to the curb, however many did not.

While parking agents often give a drivers a few days grace to adjust to the biannual change, this year they did not because many drivers who abided by the law were trapped by people who double-parked.

Many drivers said they were confused, even though these parking regulations have been in place for several years.
