A cat that was lost one month ago at Trudeau airport has been found.

Amanda Stewart bought the lop-eared cat from a Montreal breeder months ago, and in May he was brought to Trudeau airport to be shipped via Air Canada.

Unfortunately the cat, a Scottish Fold, managed to get out of his cage before it was loaded onto a plane.

The airline said it has done everything it could to find the cat, including setting out cages, using food to lure him, posting flyers near the airport and sending out search teams.

On Tuesday evening someone at the airport spotted Chester, and using a cage was able to trap him.

On Wednesday Air Canada brought the cat to a veterinarian to ensure he is in good health.

Someone from the airline contacted Stewart and left her a message saying the cat has been found, but she has yet to learn when her cat will be flown to his new home in B.C.
