MONTREAL - Canam Group (TSX:CAM) has won the largest contract in the structural steel company's history after being selected to supply steel and fabricate the superstructure for Montreal's new Champlain bridge to be built by an SNC-Lavalin consortium.

The Quebec-based company said the contract, which is expected to be finalized this summer, is worth more than $200 million. The new 3.4-km bridge spanning the St. Lawrence River is slated to open in 2018.

Last November the Boucherville-based company won a $200 million contract to help build a stadium in Atlanta.
