Wilde Horses

- Alex Galchenyuk. I will say it again: 20. He is 20. The third season is the breakout season. You can see it. Soon he will get more power play time and he will use it well and then the top line status or at least 1a is in the cards whatever line Galchenyuk is on. The goal showed all the talent needed to succeed against Quincy who played him hard but Galchenyuk had the strength and then he rolled off the check and showed speed and creativity to make the play. Any less of a player and the goal isn't made. The Habs got the best player in the draft that year. Let there be no doubt.

- Tomas Plekanec centred the number one line on the team against the Wings. Plekanec was able to create zone time and once again excellent work on the penalty kill.

- PA Parenteau missed an open net to put the Habs on the board. This is looking like an excellent acquisition. He has found a home on Plekanec's line. The three are strong together. Habs fans should hope that there is no tinkering with it.

- Max Pacioretty didn't do a lot during this one but he's in the star column here because he was on the ice for the winner. But what I really liked is Pacioretty is turning into an outstanding penalty killer. The PK excellent again and Pacioretty with Plekanec is scaring a lot of defense to not hold the line with the extra man. That's a plus.

- David Desharnais did not have his best game but when you can get the winner on an off night that is big. Desharnais continues to be surprisingly strong at puck battles as evidenced on the winner. Small guy. Big wins one on one.

- Manny Malhotra 7 and 2 on the dot again. He moves his 66 percent up some more. Wow. What a signing.

- Andrei Markov was the Bobby Fischer of hockey out there. What a smart game he played. Datsyuk couldn't believe how early Markov was on him at times. The brain is a powerful force and Markov's on ice brain is second to none in the league.

- Carey Price was outstanding and got a lot more support from the system that boxed out and checked much better than earlier in the year.

Wilde Goats

- The Habs are 6 and 1. What kind of idiot would find a goat to put here. They all were a part of a winning plan.

Wilde Cards

- The refs hate Brendan Gallagher. He cannot get a call. They feel he is a diver. Get ready for a season of frustration because he isn't getting any calls. He got elbowed in the head once. Didn't matter. Refs looked right at it and said nope.
