MONTREAL—A taxi driver in Montreal North was targeted early Tuesday morning when two men fired on his beige vehicle, breaking the driver’s window and leaving at least two bullet holes in the driver’s side door.
The incident took place at around 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday as the taxi parked at the corner of St-Michel Blvd. and Fleury St. For reasons unknown, two men in a red vehicle approached the taxi and opened fire.
The red vehicle, an old American model, fled north on St-Michel Blvd. and its occupants are still on the lam as of Tuesday morning. The driver was not injured in the drive by.
St-Michel Blvd. was closed for much of Tuesday morning as police investigated the shooting.
