Highways 30 and 20 in Boucherville will be closed this weekend as construction crews demolish a bridge.

One of the three Highway 30 overpasses that spans Highway 20 will be destroyed, with demolition work set to begin on Saturday evening.

Both highways will be closed as of 8:30 p.m. Saturday, with Highway 30 re-opening around 11:30 a.m. Sunday and Highway 20 at 3:30 p.m.

The reconstruction of the Highway 30 west bridge will begin next spring.

Another bridge was built in 2013 to transfer additional traffic during construction.

Bonaventure Work

Meanwhile crews in Montreal will be working on the Bonaventure Expressway.

All Champlain Bridge-bound lanes will be closed from Notre Dame to Carrie Denwick as of 10 p.m Friday.

They will re-open to traffic on Monday at 5 a.m.

Only one lane will be open for drivers heading into Montreal.

St. Jacques closed

Residents of NDG and St. Henri take note: St. Jacques Blvd. will be closed in both directions between Girouard and Decarie.

This closure will be in effect from 4 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday.

Crews will be preparing the overpass for its eventual demolition as part of the Turcot Interchange rebuild.
