Police are investigating a wooded area near Rawdon, north of Montreal, after bones were discovered on Tuesday.

The bones, which appear to be human, were discovered somewhere near Vincent Massey St., which runs between Route 337 and Highway 125 in the Lanaudiere region.

The Sureté du Quebec said someone called 9-1-1 to report the findings around 1:30 p.m.

No word yet as to the circumstances or identity of the remains.

Police are so far referring to it as a “suspicious death.”
