The Surete du Quebec have confirmed that the body of a woman from Repentigny was pulled from the river where she disappeared Sunday morning.

SQ officials said that the body of drowning victim Isabelle Nolet, 36, was found near Sainte-Melanie in the Lanaudiere region. 

Police received a call around 6 a.m. on Sunday and were alerted to Nolet's disappearance. It is believed that she was bathing in the L'Assomption River when she was swept away in the current. 

Searches were carried out throughout the course of the day Sunday.
