After being closed for most of the summer, Beaubien metro station reopened Monday.

The orange line station has been closed since May 4 for renovations. Though the station is now open, work will continue at the station until January.

The project includes improvements to the ventilation system, lighting, structural work and aesthetic improvements such as planting trees and shrubs.

The renovations cost $3.6 million. The Transport Ministry provided 75 per cent of the fund, the STM says.

Orange line trains were bypassing the station and a shuttle bus service was put in place to bring commuters to nearby stations during the closure.
