Arsonists attacked two restaurants overnight in Montreal -- and it's not the first time these restaurants have been attacked.

Around 4:15 a.m. two people wearing masks broke the windows of Café Empire and Dilallo burgers on Jean Talon St. near Papineau.

They hurled Molotov cocktails inside and then fled the scene.

Burglar alarms went off immediately and by the time police and firefighters arrived the firebombs had sputtered out.

The only damage was to the front windows of the establishments.

The Montreal police arson squad spoke to witnesses early Thursday morning and is examining surveillance tapes to get a description of the suspects.

Café Empire was previously hit by a firebomb on Nov. 18, 2015.
