Hybrids, modified cars and luxury vehicles – the 49th Montreal International Auto Show opens Friday at Palais des congrès.

About 500 cars will be on display during the event, which continues until Jan. 29.

The event will also feature tests of electric and hybrid vehicles – some for the first time in Canada.

The Performance Zone will feature nearly 35 modified vehicles.
