A 20-year-old pedestrian is recovering in hospital after being struck by a vehicle turning right from Ontario St. onto Bercy St. near Frontenac metro station. The vehicle drove off without stopping.

Police believe the driver may not have seen the pedestrian due to the rain and kept driving. The incident happened at about 2:50 a.m. Thursday.

The pedestrian suffered minor injuries to his legs and back and was taken to hospital. He was conscious and is expected to survive. Police are trying to locate the vehicle.

A city worker reported it to police.
