MONTREAL - Commuters driving into Montreal from the West Island -- or off-island -- faced lengthy delays Wednesday morning after an 18-wheeler collided with a pickup truck on Highway 20 Eastbound near Angrignon Blvd.

The collision ruptured a gas tank on the big rig, forcing the closure of two lanes and causing lengthy traffic jams.

Drivers should take any other possible route into town.

As of 8 a.m. hazardous materials crews were on site to clean up the mess, but mopping up the spill is expected to take several hours.

No one was injured in the crash.
