1 killed in weekend motorcycle crashes

One motorcycle rider died and another was seriously injured in two separate crashes Sunday.
The deadly crash happened around 4 p.m. in Sainte Julienne in the Laurentians.
A 22-year-old man was on Route 125 when the car in front of him stopped at an intersection to turn a corner. The motorcycle rider smashed into the back of the car and was then flew into oncoming traffic, where he was run over by another vehicle.
The rider was taken to hospital but died of his injuries.

Meanwhile in the South Shore community of St. Philippe a man lost control of his motorcycle and hit a car.
That crash took place around 7 p.m. on St. Marc trail, and the man and his motorcycle ended up lying in a yard on the side of the road.
Paramedics rushed to the scene and took the man to hospital, where he was last listed as being in critical condition.
Roussillon police are trying to determine the exact cause of the crash.
